It started at eighteen. When my baseball career came to an unexpected end, I found myself at a crossroad and a new path opened up. My mentor, Richard Bumgarner, took me under his wing and taught me the trade from the ground up. Every technique, every standard, and every point of pride I carry today traces back to those early years working alongside him.
